My volvo 240b doesn't want to let go of the bucket. Pressing the two coupler unlock buttons does nothing. This is all of a sudden, it worked not too long ago. Normally, you press those buttons, and it starts beeping and slowly unlocks the coupler. And of course, here we sit because we can't get the bucket off. Maybe someone can point me in a direction on this one. THanks Ken :Banghead

I don't know if this applies to your machine, but some couplers you have to curl the bucket all the way in, and hold the bucket curl control while working the buttons. The diverter valve needs flow through the curl circuit to work. I hope it is something simple like that. Also, if that don't do, check the solenoid on the elecvtronic control valve. Make sure it is functioning when you push the button. If not, it may be as simple as a bad wire. Couplers are typically added at the dealer or other location than the factory, and many times suffer from poor routing of the wiring.

Check the solenoid coil on the q-hitch circuit, they are a normally open valve that reverses the flow to unhitch so the coil may be fecked or not getting power check this with a multi meter..............

Maybe there is a manual button on the solenoid valve?

I found a fuse in the manual, plus 2 relays, will start there.

It was a relay....again. The guy dicked around and dicked around, searching for power and fuses and relays all over the machine. Finally called for advice and started swapping relays and that did it. I think it took 2.5 hours or something, mostly because he never worked on a volvo before. The main thing is he had someone he could call that does know the machine. I don't mind calling those guys if they go straight to the problem and fix it. This is not the first time those relays have cost me money, i should just order a pile and replace them all.
