Check the fluid level, if that is OK, check the pressure

The transmission oil level & filler is on the LHS of the engine near the bellhousing. Check oil level first. The transmission & power steering share the same pump - does the steering still work normally? At engine idle speed, if you turn the steering to almost full lock & then engage forward, will it drive? If you slowly increase rpm, will it drive? If it does move forward, at idle speed, continue turning the steering to full lock, & hear relief valve, does the machine continue to drive? If the machine now slows or stops, this would indicate a worn pump. If the pump has low output, do you have any hydraulic test equipment to carry out testing? A 500psi gauge will be required for preliminary tests.

Hi all. thanks Alrman and Mike. the powersteering (which is working fine at the moment) seems to be working frrom the main hydraulics because if i turn it to full cock it afects the backhoe or the front loader. but i will go and make sure. the four wheel drive has been removed before i bought it so i m not sure what has been done to it. At the moment there is no movement. i even lift the wheels from the ground no movement at all. what type of oil must i use if i have to fill it up where can i get a manual for it as i would like to restore it some of the wireing need to be repaired 4 wheel drive needs to be fixed and a lot of small faults needs to be repaired. thanks a lot for your assistance so far. i will try and post some pics next time

If the oil in the transmission is yellow - use a 10W transmission oil. eg - Hy-Spin, Hy-trans. A manual? Google is your friend..... keep searching ebay & be prepared to pay something for it. The 750 I am familiar with has the charge pump I speak of, located on the RHS of the engine, under the alternator. Follow the high pressure hose/pipe & see if it goes to the transmission control valve on the top of the transmission.

i opened the bottom plug on pic 1 to see if the oil level is ok. when i removed the plug there were a spring and a small steel ball in. the oil in there were a redish coulor. could not see how much oil were in the hole.

As mentioned earlier, the transmission dipstick should be located under the engine hood, on the left hand side of the engine compartment, near the bell housing. Your last picture shows a rubber hose with a plug in it. Perhaps this maybe the oil filler pipe that has been modified by the previous owner?? A quick look at the Castrol oil finder website says to use engine oil in the powershuttle transmission
