So I'm looking for a compact wheel loader, and the dealers nearby (John Deere, Case, CAT and Gehl) don't have any used units, so it looks like to get what I want I'll have to fiance a new machine. Any tips for negotiating new equipment, or heavy equipment in general? I have experience negotiating for automobiles, as I used to work in a used car lot, but no experience in heavy equipment.
Yes best tip i have is get qoute from dealers every where and grab the cheapest qoute go to your local dealer and tell them if you beat this price ill buy it from you
Always negotiate the price of the equipment BEFORE telling them you plan to finance. They will try to find out if you plan to "pay cash" (bring your own financing) or use their in-house finance company. Don't let them pin you down/
