I have a fd14 dozer in the shop that is lagging when breaking left. After warm up break is lost. Put the blade in the dirt and track is declutching. Not many fiat dozers up here in northern mn. Looking at minpars parts i pulled the rear facing break pistons and the oddest thing. Piston bushings were melted but oring and seals were pliable. nylon?? bushings melted into the small hyd line and plugged both sides. After replacing seals lines and cleaning fittings there is still the same issue... put a clear hose on the break piston on the forward side and pulled the lever.... 2 to 4 second delay. Any ideas... Running without a service manual here.
This was the rear facing pistons and bothered sides were the same condition.
found a small stone in the upper spool valve for the left side blocking a port. this small stone(grain of sand) restricted giving delay and sometimes blocked completely. After looking closer there was a hyd line running from the control lever to control valve. The guy said it was changed a year ago and started acting up 4 months ago.
