Looking at a clean used machine with 6600hrs cant find much information or parts? I know it has a 8.3 Cummins but not sure on trans make? Anyone have experience with one of these machines?
Machinery parts warehouse lists that machine
That's the only one and if u click on parts they dont come up
Might take a while, but someone probably has info for you on here
Will be a Fiat Hitachi Morph machine, parts other than engine may be scarce if price is right can run it for a trophy and get the remaining good out of it. Hitachi does not service these any longer either.
It would get less than 300 hrs/year. Very clean machine with 6600hrs think I would have to worry about any thing for s few years?
Keep fluids and maintenance up on it, don't let an old hose fail and cause major component deaths and should be able to use quite awhile as a short duration machine. So long as nothing shows excess wear, or has metal in any lube holes on drain plugs and can get it cheap enough to risk the money. No old machine is a Sure bet, they are ridding themselves of it for a reason.
I also found a cat 12g with front one way plow and wing for the same $ but would it have enough power?
I'm kind of a Champion or Volvo fan, but I'm going to go out on a limb an say that unless the g is a complete pile of junk that it would be better than the fat Ali's. Should be a lot of parts available. Just depends how well it was looked after. There are a lot of guys on here with the Cat underwear and PJs that will chime in with more info.
How are parts for champion blades? Found a 94 730a IV. 12,000 hrs Same price as cat Or a 97 volvo g736. 6,000hrs For double the cat
Volvo bought out Champion, and now they are out of the grader business all together. Volvo is pretty pricey. The thing about the cat, is that there is a lot of them around for parts
The cat 12g is $23k with about 10,000 hrs
