thanks its not as good as some of your models. its also about 4 inches longer than my lowboy so i have no way to legally transport it

thanks i need to redo it and make it stand up a bit more straight . its kinda leaning on to my building.

To solve your length problem... Can you get a trailer to trail the lowboy, rest the boom on that trailer and just get more flashing lights? Or does reality restrict us there?

I thought you said the DOT didn't exist on your setup! But seriously, nice job on this one! :thumbsup

Nice is all what i can say. Keep it up, and one of these days you might work for them! Model builders I mean. Maybe the real deal, but, we'll have to wait and see!

That looks really nice. Can you make a little plastic bucket to go over the stack on the loader though? You got the exhaust facing right into the wind.

  12. #12oakland2008-10-03 11:04

yeah i guess that would kinda help, might be my next project

Once again, great 345's...I wish they made them in 1/87 scale!

It was only a short time ago that I learned the reason for that. In my ignorance I thought it was to stop water getting into the exhaust increasing the rusting. :Banghead

Oh man, how much damage was done?

Luckily none for me personally. It was while discussing the delivery of some new dozers that had arrived on a previous job that somebody commented on the heavy rain that the low loader driver must have been expecting ( bucket over the stack ) and the rep said that following a couple of early turbo failures on some machines it was now a requirement on all deliveries.
