It starting again like last year. Our roads are starting to flood again.
Well, it looks like at the minimum you're going to need a dump truck, a dozer would be nice, and a motor grader (for the coup de taw..)
One more spot
Just ruts left after I fell in with grader in middle of the road. Barely crawled out.
More flooding
Send it to Texas...we could use a little moisture.
This the 3rd year in this area with all this water.
I remember the thread last year. First time I looked at this one, I thought you just copied last years pictures Seriously though, that stinks to go through the same thing 2 years in a row. On edit, even worse 3 years in a row.
CAT140H, Our keen sense of flooding down here in the Bayou State has been honed over many decades. http://www.popsci.com/files/imagecache/article_image_large/articles/flood_0.jpg Above: The Atchafalaya Basin flood of spring, 2011 in which the Morganza Spillway was opened for the first time in thirty years to divert a third of the Mississippi River flow to the Atchafalaya, home of Swamp People on the History Channel, in order to save New Orleans. It worked, albeit at considerable damage to private property and roads in the swamp.

We built this section up last year as it was flooded by about 2 feet of water. The waves are so big it's just chewing up the road. Soon it will be closed. Has anyone used anything to combat the wave action? Some people have said to use straw.
Take your pick flooding or drought=massive fires it all sucks.
Jesus H Christ. ??? look were is your beaching ? Ta Dah. um yeah right. hey mate are you fair dinkum ? And yes Im serious.
big big ROCK ????????
Rock , or build up the road heaps more
Scrap cement, Works great for this type of thing and there's alot of people looking to get rid of sidewalks and such they rip out.
Hougie has it or what else do you have around such as big pieces of wood that you can sink into the edgoe you just need something to keep the dirt from moving. Some people I know use the fine mesh for erosion control but often it ends up drifiting away. Straw bales not loose straw will work but they stink after a while of sitting in the water.
Lace the sides of the road with 12-18 inch rock on the slope. That will help alleviate the erosion problem. Although I won't be surprised if that's hard to get in your neck of the woods. That gravel doesn't really look up to snuff either.
