A few years ago at a an auction for a local logging company I bought a pallet of parts. Most of them had part numbers etc but this box had nothing. Anyone recognize this piece.
Lightsaber!
It looks very similar to a spool out of a control valve in a 966E.
looks like a spool for a 330B digger, got a part number? someone can wask it into SIS and tell you what its for
That's the problem no part number. I know they had some 225 excavators but don't know what else
Definitely a main control valve spool. What from..? Good question. Nothing written on that Cat box in the photo I suppose..? Sometimes spools have identifying marks (not necesarily the Part Number) etched or scribed on the end. Does yours..? Also check the spring for any identifying marks. Looking at the D&A for a 225 51U prefix (there are a total of 8 prefixes of 225/225B, I only looked at one of them) the spool in your photos looks a lot like what's shown in the manual. However the problem is that the control valve can have 3 or 5 spools and all are different Part Numbers. Doesn't help you to definitely identify it but narrows it down somewhat.
The decal that would have the part number is entirely faded out. The one number on the whole thing is a carton no on the box which is 250. There is absolutely no number on the spool itself
Get the part number off them and do a search SIS web...should take you to a machine parts list.
