I am trying to remove the transmission dump valve to repair and have removed the 3 mounting bolts but it will not come off. What am I missing?
If this is giving you problems, you may not need to remove the block that the valve is mounted in. Item #2 in your pic is the valve that makes the magic. Item 4 is the actual spool that shuttles. Both should come out without removing the block. I really do not remember changing a lot of these back when I was wrenching. The electrical to the switches, and the switches were normally the issue. The above stated, perhaps there is a roll pin or dowl that keys the block (for port alignment?). If so, it will need to some straight out.
