I just bought a Ford A66 with an Allison 2421-1 trans. Has good power in low forward and reverse, but no power in forward high??? Won't even drive up a small hill in high unloaded? Any ideas??? Does anyone have a repair manual for the loader and/or the trans? Thanks all!!
I work on one of those loaders years ago, and to the best of my knowlage that has a two speed torque convertor in it and the over running clutch is probably out inside the torque convertor. They called it a clutch but all it was, was loose roller bearings on a ramp system that kept part of the convertor from running backwards when so much load was applied. The customer I worked for had the manuals.
