Can anybody help me find a rebuild motor for my backhoe? The engine filled up my radiator with oil and I have no idea why,finally after 2 years the engine died. Any comment or suggestion is welcome.... Wesco dealer offered me a complete motor for 4,300 dollars,is it a good price? Thanks to all Tony
the Ford 201 diesel has been around for decades and should be easy to replace or rebuild. I rebuilt mine last year for under $1K. A kit with pistons, rings, sleeves, bearings, valves, seals, gaskets etc was like $500 from Eric at Southeast Tractor Parts. The machine work was about $400. I used to live in CT and can recommend Northeast Auto Machine in East Hartford or Leifert Automotive Machine in Torrington.
