Johnskidder · 2024-09-24 20:17

When I start the 333g it goes to full throttle or close to it. Just started doing this. Anybody had this? Thanks

Welcome to the Forums JSk! Glad to have you. Unfortunately I have no knowledge of Deere CTL's however I'll add Deere 333G to the thread title in hopes your problem gets attention of the wrenches who are familiar with Deere. Best of luck!

Welcome to HEF Johnskidder ! Machine serial number please. If you scroll to codes, post any active or stored codes by their number. What specific rpm is it running at? Is the light shown below on?

Codes: HCU 1594.02 HCU 1594 VCU 520849.03 No on the light

What is the specific rpm the engine runs at?

    2000

Can you raise th rpm and not lower it or not change the rpm at all? It sounds like it is stuck in a regen. In the monitor, scroll to exhaust filter. Press select. One of the options should be soot level. What does it say?

When it starts it idles for 1-2 seconds then goes right to 2000 rpm. You can turn the throttle rheostat all the way up and it will only increase the rpm to 2300. Otherwise, the rheostat or the foot pedal have no control over the engine speed. Soot level “low” Thanks for your input, much appreciated!

Still sounds like it is stuck in a regen. Work it hard for 1 hour to see if idle speed returns.

    Thanks we will see

No changes after running. Is there a way to take it out of regen?

Did you go into the monitor's service mode and observe the dial and foot throttle position i case there is an error there? Usually, the ECU automatically starts in low idle regardless of throttle position at start up. If the throttle positions are normal, then my only suggestion at this point is to have a Deere tech come out and perform a service regen to see if that resets it.

I cleaned all around the foot pedal and exercised it many times, even disconnected the foot pedal, no change. Thanks

Success! Did the Service Regen. I spoke with another JD service person, and he said let run and it “should “ return to normal throttle control when it has completed its burnout. And it did . I don’t understand why it required the regen when the soot level was low. Anyway, thanks for all the input, back in business.

Thanks for reply as I have a 332G rubber tired unit that operates same engine. Have to let it do its regen then it should be normal. My machine has to be working very hard running a land leveller on dirt to up the engine temperature to 190f on a 90F day. It has a lot of cooling ability. Simon C

I have the same problem but my 333G has had the DEF system removed. It has been running fine for several weeks and just started this. I have been running it hard running a shredder in heavy weeds. Got the machine hot a couple of times and had to stop and blow shredding mess out of all of the screens. can you help me?

Those rads have to be super clean. Air blown out first and then hot water with some degreaser sprayed on first. Shredders make some fine dust that gets into the rads. How hot is it getting and have you heat gun checked the tempeerature of the top rad hose versus the bottom rad hose. There was a posting not long ago about a valve on the bottom of machine that failed and caused the hydraulics toi get hot. Is your hydraulic reservoir full, and how thick of oil are you using for a super hot place . Is your case drain from your shredder going through the control valve or straight back to tank. Some other guys here have some experience with what you have. Simon C

Welcome to HEF Jack ! You should start your own thread rather than piggy backing this tread. Supply the following information please: Please post your machine's complete serial number. You are having an overheat issue? What temperature is it reaching? Setting DTC's? Confirmed with an infra-red temp gun? Is the engine overheating as well, or just the hydraulics?
