Just got a galion 104h-b grader. Detroit 471 runs decent. Everything is fairly tight. A few minor hydraulic leaks. My question is: what type of oil should be used in the hydraulic system. The oil that is in both the hydraulic system and the clutch housing is red and smells of ATF but is heavier than the ATF that I'm familiar with. Both could use being topped off. The previous owner doesn't know, says he never added any since he bought it. Current oil looks clean, don't want to change it right now. Any help would be appreciated.
