i have an old galion 125 hydraulic crane. I am in the process of rebuilding the main boom cylinder and have come across a serious problem. It looks like at some point in the cranes life the nut holding the rod to the piston came apart and caused some major damage to the piston. it was repaired poorly, so i need a new piston, i have a company that got me all the seals for the cylinder, they are looking for a new piston but have not found one yet. anyone have any ideas, i think i am gonna have to get on machined if i can't find a replacment.
cyl piston Any good machine or hydralis shop should be able to make you a new piston we have it done all the time for dozers excavators and such the piston is not hard. In fact most of them are a lot softer than the cyl tube
