We have had an incident where the "Banjo" pin that holds a jib boom arm pin in place has fallen out due to the pin bolt being forced through the split design of the lug it is bolted to. The pin is mounted from the bottom up. Has anyone seen of heard of incidents similar to this?
This is an indication there is a serious issue. Immediately down the machine until a full inspection of the Jib Assembly and the jib pin the banjo pin is securing is completed. The jib pin may be broken and in need of replacement or the Jib Assembly may be tweeked enough to cause binding of the jib pin. This is the result of the jib assembly being tweeked in one direction or the other by having the platform struck by an object or set down with force on an uneven surface. What is the machine's serial number?
