Genie s-80x

I have a genie s-80x that the boom will extend out about 3 feet and stops. It stops in the same spot every time. If the boom is up and you extend, it won’t let you boom down until the boom is all the way back in. Pulled the console cover off and looks like it has a 2-4 fault code (flash code). All ground controls work as they should. I don’t know a lot about these lifts so any help is much appreciated.
