This machine works good except when you want to lower the main boom from the platform it sounds like hydraulic pressure deadheaded almost stalls motor but will not come down. If you switch control to base unit you can lower boom. Checked everything i could think of but to no avail.Can anyone set me in the right direction please.

Genie Z-60/34 main boom problem Unfortunately I have not been able to figure this thing out and the machine has been put on the back burner for a while as i am onto other jobs.
These are always fun, since you said it will come down with lower and not upper tells me the problem is in the upper deck. If im not mistaken center controller on the platform box, check your control card as you activate the function make sure both lights are not lighting up on the card could have a bad wire sending voltage to both coils since the lower controls are seprate from upper same pin location on the pin board but still two different power sources. Check your manifold valve body find your secondary locate the coils for the function check voltage compare lower control voltage and see what you come up with
What is the year of this unit --- check power to directional coil when activating from platform.
