Genie Z60/34 drive problem

Hi Everyone I am having a problem with our Z60/34 serial: 7025. The machine moves forward but does only move in reverse for about half a metre and then stop. Forward drive no problem, reverse is the problem. Checked the joystick and is getting the correct feed to the Platform pc board. At the bottom control panel I am getting a voltage reading of 1.3v forward and then 1.1v for reverse. At the EDC I get the same voltage that goes into it, tested the EDC and get 17ohm for forward and 19ohm for reverse. Please help me to find the problem, any help will be welcomed.:Banghead Regards

Swap the two hoses at the fittings on the traction manifold shown in this drawing: This will let us know if the issue is upstream or downstream of the drive pump . If the problem stays in the reverse direction, the problem is in the traction manifold (shuttle valve usually) or one or more of the drive motors. Quite often piston motors can operate perfectly fine in one direction but not at all in the other direction. If the problem transfers to the Forward direction, the problem will be in the drive pump or in the control system. The Traction Manifold and Drive Motors are not suspect. If this is the case, place the hoses back to their original positions and we will carry on. Inside the lower control box at terminals 30D and 31D, swap the two wires with each other. (White wire to terminal 31D and White/Black wire to 30D) If the problem stays in the Reverse direction, the Drive Pump or EDC is suspect. If the problem transfers to the Forward direction, the problem is in the controls.

I'm glad to see our aerial lift helper is still here.

Hi Voodoomojo Once again thank you for your help and assistance. We found the problem to be the shuttle valve, as you mentioned. Thank you also for giving us ideas (ways) to test and eliminate the different things that can go wrong, that way I also learn and understand the machine better. Machine up and running and working again. Regards
