Thank God it is about time. Their medium truck line was pretty crappy. They rattled and sounded like they were falling apart while driving off the lot brand new.

Probably the same thing they did with Ford medium duty line. Ship 'em off to mexico and make them a little better.

I heard that, but suprisingly supposedly they will sell them under the gm name still

The most interesting question is will GM be able to get IH to install 7.8L DMAX power in the 6500/7500 series, or will IH make GM take on the MAXX force diesels, like the 6.4L or the DT466?

Or will IH have access to the Izuzu engines for other vehicles than the GM? I don't see why they would after spending so much on R&D with their new engines but you never know.

Yet another line of manufacturing being hauled out of Michigan. These trucks are currently built down the road from me in Flint MI. At this time there is no new product to replace this one that is being lost. The only production that will remain at Flint truck and bus will be the 2500 and 3500 trucks. Last I heard IH will be using all GM comps and suppliers for parts. Last I heard it was still going to be the Izuzu engines and allison transmissions. At the time when this information was released International had not announced what plant they would be running this new line out of
