Buddy of mine had his truck in the shop for some pain work on monday and needed a hand moving the drill rig and compressor. Had to take his trailer since mine doesn't have the rear plug in yet. Hauled really well. The load with my truck is approx 22000 lbs. Used his scale ticket, subtracted his trucks weight and added mine. Small video. Wind starts to get loud at the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyW-Quycg8o
I didn't think that was legal in Canada
that looks like a nice little drill, my cousin always had a hell of a time with the old IR air tracks and the quicktrac compressors trying to get them on the trailer all at once, and the wagon type compressors, forget it.
The air tracks are not used much anymore a few of the blasters have gone to hydraulic drills not cheap but really portable and can do the work of 2 or 3 guys hand drilling. http://www.traxxon.com/surface_drills.html The Sandvik DC Commando is the ones they use for residential blasting
I'm only sure about ontario law but here it is legal as long as you maintain lenght and weight limits. Max is 75 feet and weight is of course whatever the truck is good for. That unit is real sweet and an classic. Originally it was used to remove brick from smelter furnaces. My buddys brother bought it and converted it to what you see there. Controls used to be in the back now are on the side. The unit is really good for tight jobs. One setup can actually allow you to drill off a good amount of holes. He has a larger drill out there (newer which is hyd) right now but needed this one to get into a trench.
Looks like a good spot for a wireless backup camera. No need to do that in Juneau but I have thought about it a lot for the motor home. Moterhome, Smaurai, small boat.
Nice truck
Lookin good. Just about to pick up an '04 Chevy 2500HD just like yours except black from a buddy of mine, hardly see anyone with a std. cab and a long box anymore. I'm ready for a new(er) truck.
