my 773g shuts down and says its overheating at the panel, thermostat?
Is it pshing out coolant? Does the radiator get hot? Is the coolan't flowing with the machine running. The thermostat blocks coolant flow through the radiator until the engine reaches operating temp. It could be stuck shut. Or it could be something else...
First you need to find out if it's actually getting hot. A temp gun is best but you could just see if it feels hot. Also check coolant level in the rad first not just the overflow bottle.
And check the three cores for being clogged restricting air flow. If it has AC then you have the condensor, the hydraulic oil cooler, and the engine coolant radiator all stacked together, I've worked on many Bobcats that these items were clogged with dust/dirt.
cooling fan belt off fan tensioner stuck coolant leak (most likely the radiator) if it's really not overheating, but the guage says it is.. bad sender or a wiring issue.... :drinkup
