Working on an 8144 TerraGator, John Deere 8.1 with the Funk powershift. Long story short, the machine will not shift out of neutral and the gear display will flash 4 dashed lines “————“. All of the sudden a code will appear “R100” and the display will show neutral. I can then move the machine. Sometimes you can wait for 5 minutes for this to happen, other times, 30-45 minutes with no rhyme or reason. Ive checked all the obvious things (fuses good, cleaned grounds) I tried to replicate the code by unplugging some trans components but could not get the same one to come up. Does anyone know what the “R100” code is? This is an 04-05 model I believe with the CAN BUS system
That is usually a communication issue between the TCU and the monitor.
Got it squared away, The TCU was bad. R100 is a “power up” indication i believe. The new one will display R100 while keying on but will immediately go into N1. So its not actually a fault code. No issues now, i can start the machine and move with no waiting, no more dashed lines. Thanks for the help
