hi guys i have a 2010 peterbilt 389 with cummins engine. my problem is the truck didnt truck this morning try to boost her still dont work but it gave me a check engine light. what do you guys think is causing all this
Sounds like fuel issue, the CEL is most likely a 559 code for fuel pressure. Is this a common rail engine?. if so could be the high pressure fuel pump, have seen many issues with the ceramic rods in the pump. also check that the lift/primer pump is working.
does it crank but not start? not crank at all? with the key in the on position can you hear the fuel pump running? need more info
