I am desperate for some advise. I have a ex120-2 which was jerky at the bucket and tracks. i changed the dp sensor and angle sensor, then found 3 spools stuck and free them. now machine wont move, where do i go from here.:Banghead
Check the travel spools. I think from what you are saying there is contamination in the system sticking the spools or maybe more things. Later Bob
thanks for the advise Bob but i did check travel spools and they are free. it was the boom and dipper that was stuck. is there any other thing i should check for?
The next thing I would check is for pilot pressure coming to the ends of the travel spools when you want to travel. teeing in gauges is best but if you don't have any slack the line fitting as someone tries to move the machine. Be carefull of high pressure oil squirting out, can puncture your skin and maybe kill you. Does the engine load up when trying to travel? Later Bob
no there is no load on the engine
hey Bob,still no luck i cleaned valve body again and checked pilot pressure(machine wont move any function) I got pressure coming from pilot filter but no pressure to hydraulic rams nor spools. any advise would be greatly apreciated
also the pilot filter is getting very hot. no pilot pressure coming to ends of spools
pull your filter and check for silver or brass that dont sound good
Bob helped me immensely and is very knowledgeable , jsut wondering if your safety lever/switch is electric or do it kick out all the hydraulics mechanically like my Cats do . Might be something to check before you go deep into it . The little push rod on my 315 and my 320 froze on the tierod and when I pushed the lever to work mode , it broke and i had no hydraulics and no idea what had happened . By chance the protection plate right under the cab was off to fix a few bends in it and my dad happened to see the little rod hanging down. Installed a new rod and tierods and everything was good .
safety lever checks out as good. no silver/brass in filters. no pressure coming from end of spools. no pressure coming to control levers and boom wont lift off the ground. it seems like pilot pump is not pushing enough pressure. any other ideas would be a big help.
Franco, I think Catman has the right idea. If there is flow coming from the pilot pump it's not getting to the pilot joysticks to be sent to the main spool ends. Need to check that through and get flow up to the joysticks. Later Bob
i ave found that the pump displacement solenoids are not functioning properly(not getting proper negative pulse from the pvc) what do i do at this point?(replce pvc?)
Dude your going in to deep to fast, with no pilot oil to the main control valve you wont move spools, pump displacement don't matter yet, ck pilot relief valve is probly stuck. If you start buying every part that is broken or worn or u think is not right u wont have the money to buy what is needed to get up and running then start picking at the worn stuff the last guy gave to ****s about. How long have u owned it?
almost a year
is it possible to get a photo/direction exactly where the pilot relief valve is and also the main relief valve.
