We are considering purchasing an old 1990 EX 150 Excavator, mostly for work on our rural property & have been told that they are a first cousin of the Deere. Would anyone be able to verify this for us? What we wanted to know more specifically is what size in Deere would be the equivalent & if buckets or any other parts would be interchangeable? We will be looking at getting couple of buckets & knowing what may be interchangeable will be most helpful. Also, are there any other models in the Hitachi lineup where the buckets may fit the EX 150? Thanks, Metalman
From what I know yes the deere's and hitachi's are somewhat the same D490 = H120, D590 = H150 There are some differences here and there depending on years like engines and electronics but I think for the most part the digging tools will be compatible.

Ok, Thanks very much.
