I have a Hitachi excavator and while fixing a hydraulic leak on the thumb I would start the machine standing on the track and move the thumb in out. Then all of a sudden the machine would not start anymore. Never had an issue starting it. Anyone know if I triggered a safety switch? I checked the batteries no issues. I changed the fuel filter but I am not getting fuel to the injectors. Thoughts?
If the starter is rolling the engine over, there are no safety switches preventing the engine from starting. There is an electro/mechanical fuel pump shut off mechanism controlled by the ECU. Check for any blown fuses at the fuse box.
