Hey guys I have a EX200-2 starts up and runs for about 15-20 seconds then dies. when the engine is running it will not idle up or down it stays at a steady rpm. as long as someone keeps pumping on the lift pump it will run but the rpms still don't change. And it you try to move or raise the bucket it dies instantly. Any help would be great.
Will the throttle move at all w/ the cab controls?? is it stuck at idle? you can disconnect the linkage at the injection pump and run it by hand.. VERY dangerous tho. Most of that equipment I'm familiar with, run Zexel inline injection systems.. There is a filter IN THE BANJO BOLT in the fuel inlet fitting, the one underneath/below the hand primer.. unscrew the bolt and unscrew the filter, blow it off and reinstall. It cures 80% of the fuel related problems w/ that system. Another thing to check is, is the supply pump even working?? There is a piston & spring under the big nut on the sp.. the spring breaks and pistons get stuck. Just loosen the line feeding the main injection pump body, crank the engine and see if fuel spurts w/ every rotation.. if not, your supply pump is bad or you don't have any fuel to it.. check filters and fuel supply from the tank. Hope this helps.
