The fan could be on backwards, I have seen that before. I think the oil cooler is mounted in front of the radiator, if so make sure that it is clean as well. I have seen a lot of problems with the fan shroud being cracked or broken and the foam strips between the shroud and radiator missing. how do you know its running hot? The gauge in the cab? Is it working correctly?

The outside curve of the fan blade should be facing the radiator. The blades of the fan will be trying to scoop and pull the air thru the radiator.

Ebay is always a good source for manuals. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...nkw=hitachi+ex200+manuals&ghostText=&_sacat=0

The rad has to be completely sealed around the out side of it. Foam strip on the hood, foam strips on the sides and the one on the belly pan that usually gets lost. When its not sealed you will have a low pressure in front of the rad and a higher pressure on the engine side of the rad, with any foam piece missing the path of least resistance is to go through the rad and loop back to the front of the rad. In doing so the hot air just keeps going around until it over heats, instead of blowing out by the pumps.

Can you see through the radiator fins? Sounds as though the radiators blocked and not letting airflow through to be honest. If the fan was on wrong it would be blowing out the radiator and if the foam strips were missing you would expect to still feel at least some airflow through the radiator.
