We have a leaking rod seal on the bucket cylinder of our EX 400. The rod itself is not damaged and we are a long way from a hydraulics shop. Could the cylinder be disassembled and the packing and lip seal be changed in the field by a regular mechanic? Thanks
If your mechanic can undo and retorque the piston nut to approximantely 3000 Ft/lbs in the field, sure, no problem!
