Hitachi / Hatachi

There is an excavator that I am looking at. I have only seen photos of it, but it clearly says on the back HATACHI. Could someone not spell or is there a knock-off of HITACHI equipment? If it is a knock-off, can a guy get parts / service for it? Thanx Drip
