I am considering buying a Hitachi UH025-7 excavator. The swing gear box is busted on the side. The motor appears good. One person told me to unbolt and lift out. Another told me you have to raise the whole cab assembly off the turntable to replace. Is it worth buying and is it the same as a JD 70. is parts readily available. Thanks for any opinions.
I bought a UH 122 LC with a busted swing gear box . Bought another across the pond in Ireland and just pulled it out and dropped the new one in . less then a day for hook up . not sure about the smaller models but I think it would lift right out .
