Hose Wrap

Got some hoses rubbing together, looking for spiral wrap. Maybe I am giving it the wrong name, cannot find it in this area. What is everyone using or do you use any?

Another option is: http://www.tompkinsind.com/news/hose-protectors NAPA dealers havbe these if not in store they can order them also any good industrial hose supply shop would have them. They work good for problems in a limited part of hose. Spiral wrap is good if protecting longer sections.

If you can get one end loose, used firehose works great.

Split tubing works well also. For that matter, so does duct tape. I like to use Gorilla Tape. There are fancy clamp devices that you would more commonly see used under the hood of a custom car; to hold heater hoses, A/C hoses and a variety of other hoses side by side and not touching. Not cheap, but permanent (usually anodized aluminum) and re-usable. I've even seen plastic zip ties, the kind with and extra little bit near the end that you use to mount the zip tie to a wall or board by putting a screw through the hole. You put a couple on each hose and tie the mounting loops together with another tie. You can even use old hoses, split down the side and slipped over what you want to protect and secured with duct tape, electrical tape, wire ties or zip ties.
