Hello all what's the going hourly rates and prevailing rate for dump trucks in Ohio and Kentucky
Welcome to the Forums Briana! Glad to have you. I don't know the rates in Ohio or KY but in Central AL tri-axles are going from $115-125 per hour. There is no union presence here. Personally I don't know how they make money at that rate with a driver labor burden of $40-50 per hour, insurance, $4 a gallon fuel and a new truck cost $300K.
Up at Clallam County WA, the local concrete company charges $165 an hour. Just a point of reference. It was not long ago that $100 got you a truck in Tacoma.
Back 10yrs ago used to be running gravel not part of the job drivers were exempt from Davis law. I'd get prevailing wage on site unloading, equipment operating, labor $50hr but get in dump off haul from site pay would drop to "driving time" by company $20hr & save'em not to pay ot . you put a price out there you'll find a broker. Cail 2011 a 4axle 20ton load super dump rates $135Hr turn garbage as low as $65hr fighting with odd tri axles 14 ton & super tags 18ton legal but run 20tons no
