Don't think there is one, none shown in the parts book other than the one in the cover plate.

Ok but the center plug is off set. So my question is should the plug be at the highest point on the final when you check it?

If the plug is only offset by a few inches(not a drain plug) you check at the 6 oclock position.

Yes it is off set by a few inches. But checking it at the 6 o'clock position would drain it, right?

I have a Hitachi EX120-1 which is the same as a 490D. The operators manual says the level check would be the 3 oclock position. It's the middle plug' FWD

FWD, the old 490 only has one plug, bit of an antique, but not as much as say a 690B

Yes, it only has one plug. So check it at the 6 o'clock or 3 o'clock position?

Post a photo of the cover showing the plug. That would be the best way to determine what position it needs to be in to check the oil level.

Not sure how to do that
