Dynapac CA3500PD Roller Serial Number J0A013613 Roller has very little speed forward or reverse and vibration system stopped working. Replaced Control Handle thinking that may solve the issues but did not. Trying to find out how to check the Hydraulic Pump Pressure there is 3 different testing ports that I found checked psi at idle on all ports and less then 500 PSI Specs say PSI should be over 6000 PSI (42 MPa) for drive system and vibration system. Should Pressure be checked at idle or under full load / power? and if so, does it matter which test port is checked? Hoping not to have to replace hydraulic pump
The test will be at probably engine full throttle, doubt it would be at idle. Have never worked on one. By the way did you ever get your Cat Loader communication problem between the ECM's figured out and repaired, or is it on backburner. Simon C
Thinking about your problem, you probably are on the wrong port for testing, are at the wrong engine speed, or have something by-passing way too much, or have a pump that is not stroking up properly. Do you have a quality manual for the unit.? Worth doing extra testing before dumping money on it, only to find out it is not the pump. Should pull Hydraulic filter and check pleats for bronze and steel. Make your decision based on facts is what I recommend. Check if there is a suction screen if it has one that is plugged. Simon C
The cat program IT said the ecm was blank and needed flashed so we sent it off to try that first. If that does not solve the problem we are going to install a new wiring harness on the machine.
If you still need to check the travel/propel pump pressures you will need to check at full rpm. The travel system looks to be powered by a Danfoss closed loop H1P hydraulic pump and the Vibe looks to be a Rexroth A4V pump unit. Both manufactures have online literature in regards to pump test point ports. The first test for both of these systems is to check that they both have adequate charge/boost pressure being supplied into their corresponding closed loop circuit. This pressure is usually around 22 to 25 bar. Best regards
