I own a 2002 sterling dump with 3126 cat engine and it's an Allison automatic. The speed is governed out at approx. 45 mph/70kms . That's too slow and I cannot drive on the main highways without getting a ticket for slow speed . How do I deactivate the speed governor or turn it up to at least 120 kms/65mph? Is this something that has to be done with a scanner /computer or is it a mechanical pull wire off type of deal ? Thanks for any help .
you need cat et to change that setting. most truck dealerships will have it.
