good evening everyone, so i have a t-190 bobcat and today i notice a hydraulic , looking into it i could not see exactly where it is coming from but i do have pictures that might help, and the spray of fluid. picture 1 shows ( i think) what is some type of value body and the leak is under it, pic 2 is more of a close up of where the leak is coming from. i don't know what is under the value body that might have this leak (spray). any help to determine what might be going on would be much appreciated. i would think to get under this value body i would have to disconnect all hose fittings, to remove value body? it didnt seem to be any other way to get under it?
Sometimes, when I’m working on something new or unfamiliar, the parts diagram can be very useful for determining what the possible leak points are. Welcome to the HEF, by the way. We have some very knowledgeable Bobcat dudes that will be along shortly to assist.
so a good ideal... i'll try and find my parts diagram and try that. thank you for ideal!!!!!!!
A mirror may also help. Be careful of hydraulic leaks. High pressure leaks will penetrate skin.
best guess would be the hose from the hyd pump to the control valve is whats pissing oil out
I'd guess a pin hole(s) in a hose or maybe a blown O-ring on a fitting. Possibly a loose fitting but that's not too common if it has never been touched from new.
so I went out and bought a borescope camera to get a better ideal of where this might be leaking. a few days later started it up and took a look. this does not make sense to me but no longer spraying fluid like in picture but just leaking. I did put more fluid in, anyway it sure looks like its coming from the tilt spool cover... also from the drain hole. so i guess i'll start with replacing spool seals. so my new question is based on a utube search.. which showed a 773 model could be done but it also had a lot of open space in back. can both spools be took out from the back.... is there room to pull them out, just looking it looks like it would be a close. my parts book only shows how to do this with the value body out of machine. i took the front off so I could have more room and maybe better access also to get the actuators out. i do want to thank this sight for being here and also everybody with there input
