I’ve got a 2012 s650 with a heavy hydraulic leak. Saw it was leaking and reservoir was empty. Put a gallon in and came back the next day and reservoir was empty again while parked and not on. Lower right engine compartment. Thought a pressurized hose would need engine on to leak. I need to get it all cleaned off and look again but what would allow a leak without engine on? Thanks.
Hopefully you have an oil pan under the leak area! Open up the machine with access panels or lift the cab up if needed. Clean all the old hydraulic leak area up. Inspect the hoses and their fittings near the leak. Hydraulic hoses rub through or burst under load all the time as they age and as the hours build up. Remove the damaged or leaking hose or hoses and replace. Your dealer may have your hoses, but cheaper usually to go to a Hydraulic and air line part repair/parts store where they can make one up for you while you wait. Install some plugs on the hose connections so you don't introduce dirt into the hydraulic system until you put your new hoses on.
I wondered about a hose but didn’t think they’d leak the reservoir dry unless the machine was powered on and under pressure. Yeah I’ll get it cleaned up and inspect them. Thanks.
Sounds like a supply line they will drain tank
I think those hydraulic tanks are plastic, maybe it rubbed through as is causing the leak.
most common hyd leak in those machines is the hyd pressure hose from the pump to the control valve. they typically blow down near the control valve on the bottom of the hose. if this is the case, buy an OEM hose from bobcat. ive never seen a hose made by a hyd shop that is the correct length and has the fittings "clocked" in the right directions. depending on serial number and options, there are 3 different hoses. 1 has a short 90* at the pump 1 has a long 90* fitting 1 has a formed steel tube at the pump with a split flange
