I just picked up a 2004 Hitachi zx27U mini and I would like to change the hydraulic fluid and the final drive fluids. I do not have a operators manual for the machine. It is the same as a john deere 27c zts. Anyone that has this info, I would appreciate your help. I have been looking for a mchine this size for some time, but could not justify springing for a new one as I didnt know how much I would use it. Feel that I got a good deal. $13350.00 with 1160 hours.
Your Hitachi is near identical to my Yanmar 27-3 (same engine & pump). The hydraulics take 68w in our temperature range (ISO VG 46 specified for cooler climes) and SAE 90 Gear Oil is specified for the travels in all temp ranges.
