hydraulics stop in cooold weather

what can i do to get it going quickly? it worked for a couple minutes then slowed to a stop. its like 14 below here in the rockies. L785 New Holland 1993. OSI

    The hydraulic system gets cold like everything else.Nothing will make it work quickly unless you can somehow keep the system warm before you need to use it.The best that you can expect is to cycle all of the functions to work the oil through the system as the rest of the machine warms up.You should see the filter lights glowing while this is taking place.Ron G

    14 below should not stop the machine, if it was properly warmed up. I have run mine down to 43 below without issue. However it may depend on what type of hyd. fluid you are in your machine. Mine calls for 10-30 so its pretty thin anyway. If your filter has some blockage that will starve the system in the cold. If mine has been sitting outside I let them warm up for a good while before moving them. I also will rock the bucket back toward me and hold it to let the hyd. go over relief as a way to warm up the fluid. I don't do that until its been idling for a while.

    be careful running it before it is warmed up to at least the lower side of the temp gauge you can do some serious damge from cold oil higher pressures starving the system
