Hello all, i recently rebuilt my loader control valve on my john deere 1988 non tur. 4x4 410c. I now have no drop power, in a drop position the bucket just flated out instead of lifting the front. There is a magnet type device on this unit , might be related to that?? Any idea of what i should check first?? Thx for ur time.
The magnet thing is a solenoid for the return to dig function, it's on the bucket function right? are you having problems with the drop power on the bucket tilting down? or the loader boom failing to lift the front wheels off the ground? The circuit relief could be wrong. How did you set the reliefs, or did you not touch them? What was the problem that caused you to rebuild it?
Hello Delmer and thx. All good questions. Yes it is the tilt down that has no power. And you are correct it is a return to dig selenoid. The control valve was leaking badly and had a few fried orings (original) causing a bypass in the unit... the john deere dealer told me i needed to rebuild it ALL... All oring and back up rings... my first approach to hydrolic mecanic... something else !! So yes i did took everything apart and tryed to match precious settings positions on rebuild... there is two adjustable allenkey screws in a nut i belive the relief valves? and one other with a bigger two facelike bolt that also screws in a bigger nut...(check valve)?? I tryed playing with those in and out and see a difference in speed the bucket rises and move but no difference at all in the tilt action... its releasing pressure but seems to just let it release... it will let the busket drop or tilt but with very little force... hope this helps thx. I have more pics of rebuild and unit if needed. Thx again My apologies for my lack of knowledge for the right words and all around hydrolics...
I would start by swapping the port reliefs for the bucket tilt to see if the issue changes to the tilt up, or is it slow and weak also. Also the tie bolts must be torqued evenly.
