How many lines run into the pedal 3 or 4?

i would be surprised if you could weld it and keep it operable, but. i would take it loose and leaving the hoses connected, flip it over and adjust the adjustment screw in very small increments while shifting from forward to reverse. Make sure the drive wheels are jacked up and free. Keep it at an idle, if this fails call Atlanta Lift truck salvage http://www.atlantaliftruck.com/ and ask them for the pedal assembly. These were used on machines both S and H models for many years. If that fails I would install a simple electric/hydraulic valve block and replace the pedal with a later model that uses solenoids for shifting (simple install). You said that you have broken another u-joint, how many and who's brand are you using. Stay away from those cheap Chinese ones and spend the money on a quality joint. When they snap it is to expensive and time consuming to replace all that they damage. Also is the inching set up properly, this will have a big effect on driveline life.

One more thing, if you call them make sure to have your model and serial number.
