Recently purchased a IHI 35n2 2005. With a hyd thumb installed on auxilary. problem is releif pressure set to high and keeps breaking or bending thumb cyl. thumb is a after market with cyl rod diameter of around 1.12". Does anyone know if there is a adjustment on relief and where? Do I need a bigger rod in Cyl? or would I need to install a releif crossover valve in aux lines. Any help appreciated. Thanks mlj
I'm not a hydraulic pro so can't give much help. I have a rather simple thumb(not heavy duty) on my IHI35J and have never had an issue. Seems like the pressure is high like you wrote. Maybe one of the pros here can guide you in the right direction.
