lost my key to dozer, not having any luck on web, its a 1973 international td7c, thanks in advance
Our Dresser TD7 had a Cat master key
If it looks like this, it is the same key as the tractors used from 1950's until the "end". Even lawn tractors had the same key.
The easiest solution would be to get a universal ignition switch that is available at any auto or farm supply store and replace the one you have now. Does your TD7 have a push button for a starter switch ? If it does it can be eliminated with the installation of a universal ignition switch.
The original key was the snoopy key. Case dealers used to sell a set of keys that fit most of the equipment made in the United States.
If it's a Snoopy key, can be found online for $5-7 shipped. https://heavyequipmentkeys.com/oem-...ey-for-case-john-deere-massey-ferguson-83357/
I hated those dam snoopy keys. They fell out of the switch more times than I can count. Always in a dirty or muddy mess.
Most people just turned on the key, started the engine and put the key back in their pocket.
I have seen some IH equipment with Cole-Hersee for a master switch and a different key for starting and sometime just a push button for starting. Had a Dresser loader that had a cole-hersee for master and the same key for starter witch. FWD
Thanks for the help, ordered me a couple
Put a tether on it so that if it falls out of the switch you won't lose it.
