I am finally back home (mabey permanently) and doing 25 yrs. worth of neglected maintenance on my D47U. I think this ham I replaced 15 yrs. ago i got from a guy in western oregon was dredged out of a river!, it has a lot of muck in it but i've washed the clutch/brake housing in diesel and for lack of kerosene used hot soapy water to get rid of the oil film !!!, i adjusted the clutches full open and then tied the levers back to dis-engaged position as far as they'd go in hopes it'll dry out in a day or so ....(If the sun would shine!) I don't feel optimistic I can get these things to grip any tighter though....... has anyone got any ideas that'll get this machine thru the summer till i get it in the shop for winter?
