This is the latest and most technologically advanced VGOS. This new Vise Grip Operating System allows the operator manual operation of the turbo waste gate system to customize engine boost pressure and lock in exact horsepower and torque curve requirements that can be adjusted to different job conditions as needed. VGOS comes standard in the plated version, but also in the vinyl grip edition as an option. WARNING* If engine fault codes are actively present during use of VGOS, your engine ECM may not be configured for this technology. Remove VGOS. Removed VGOS, faults magically disappeared. Moral to this story...........make sure your ECM is updated to use the VGOS system.
The good thing about VGOS is that it is universal and is able to operate many systems over a wide variety of vehicles. I can confirm compatibility all the way back to the cooling system on a 1968 Plymouth - pre-ECM no less! Really amazing technology.

Does this VGOS replace ZTWGH the zip tie on the wastegate hose often employed on older tier 2&3 big bore on highway vehicles. N14 & 3406E Are they reverse compatible ? I can't find the TSB , could you please attach a copy. Thx

Will have to do extensive research and long term evaluations to determine if the Chinese VGOS are as functional as original made in USA VGOS. There can be major differences in ZTT but does ZTT enhance the performance of the VGOS or is just a false sense of security? Then need to determine if the copy VGOS provides any value or is NFG. Nobody wants a NFGVGOS. Details will follow on how to be part of the study group on VGOS. Please submit your application for VGOS and the board of dictators will determine the most suitable applicants to be used for the study. Include your mechanical background and history of Redneckedness in your application and the cost savings and benefits you expect from the application of VGOS. Multiple applications can be submitted and please specify what type of VGOS is most suitable for each application, ie/ flat jaws, curved jaws, wire cutter jaws, needle nose, chain wrench, welding, sheet metal etc. The most unique application will receive a years subscription to the VGOS newsletter and a custom never lose cap with VGOS.
VGOS is also funcitonal in place of a shifter. My experience being with a '79 F250 (with said VGOS already installed). Drove it that way for a couple of years. No longer have the truck, but I still have and use those Vice Grips.
How can neglect such a valuable piece of brilliant engineering that has got you out of countless binds. Oh the shame!
