I have just agreed to buy a JCB 806 excavator and need to find out correct weight for transporting. The machine was advertised as an 11 tonne, but after inspection i think it is much heavier. Look round the net and weight seems to range anywhere from 13 to 15.5 tonnes. So im a little unsure. Any info would be great Also looking for any operator, workshop or parts manuals for same machine. Serial No. 806-75885/66 ( thought the /66 might be year of manufacture 1966 ??) Engine No. 354U341416L (Perkins Motor) Any info please email [email protected] Thank you all Panelvan NSW, Australia
I saw a 1984 806C advertised as 13 tons gross in the UK. A good machine
http://books.google.com/books?id=8s...Ag#v=onepage&q=JCB 806 machine weight&f=false this book indicates it's 17 ton... **edit** people on Amazon rate this book poorly for misinformation.
have you asked JCB direct?
Thank you Robin Bates and Huntoon, for you leads. Yes rang JCB direct, got the run around with them, to old of a machine i guess. They were going to get some one to ring me back, but so far hasn't happened. Even at 17 tonne, still wont to too hard to get home. Will have machine machine home in a couple of weeks. Will post pics and vids of it working asap

oops, my bad, sorry about that
Hi,I may be too late for you but I have some literature 0n the 806c somewhere, will look it out if you are interested. The machine will not be from the 1960's but the late 70's. Have fun. Ex tractor fan.
