hi all.. i have a 2006 jcb js130.. While in the middle of doing anything full throttle it drops down to idle right in the middle of working and if i stay on a control it will stall out.. If i let off the levers or anything it will go back to full throttle.... any ideas what it could be? thanks .

Not being familiar with JCB. I would suggest turning off the auto idle system. If you do have a fuel pressure gauge to install after the secondary fuel filter install it and observe the transfer pump pressure while digging. If the engine speed starts dropping and the fuel pressure is dropping to below about 10 PSI look for a lack of fuel. Some places to start are, adequate fuel in tank, restriction in fuel supply to transfer pump, check any fuel pre screens, replace the primary and secondary fuel filters. If the fuel pressure can be maintained above 15 -20 PSI after the secondary filter check air intake and turbo . After that there could be a horse power control issue.

i gonna drain all fluids and replace every filter on the machine.. hoping its something simple like a clogged filter..

There is a small filter screen at the inlet banjo bolt of the fuel lift pump that can clog up.The primary water/fuel separator element(bolted onto side of fuel tank) also has a habit of collapsing internally which causes fuel trouble. You could also have a faulty upper idle hyd pressure switch, turn off auto mode and try selecting economy mode to see if the problem dissapears. You can check the pressure switch operation thru the ams monitor- Start the engine, make sure your on auto mode. 1.Press set & mode together until 'model name' appears on the screen. 2.Scroll up using the arrow keypads until you get 'pilot switch' 3.Press ack,use arrow keys until 'upper' appears. 4.Press ack again and it should read 'upper off' operate the boom dipper or bucket functions whilst working and it should change to 'upper on' if it stays or jumps to upper off when the levers are operated then you have a duff switch. The switch is located on the side of the main control valve(fuel tank side, its the switch right at the bottom the one directly above it is the travel pressure switch)

i called jcb and talked to there tech.. he told me the same thing about the pilot switch.. i checked that out and it still does it even when the switch is on.. i gonna do all the filters and hope that works.
