JCB JZ 70 problems

Hi all, my first post here! I have a 2007 JZ70, it has been down on power with the tracks, there was oil at both motors which I assumed was seals in the motors weaping. I sent it over to a repair man who would test it and either repair or replace the motors if they required it. He found the motors to be ok, the oil is leaking from inside the rotary coupling. From there it runs down the hoses to the final drives. Also the main boom ram won't lift the machine off the deck, the dipper ram will. Weather this is connected or not I don't know but that hasn't been a problem unlike the tracks which mean the machine has to push itself onto a trailer with the boom. Main pump pressure also checked as good. Anyway the repair guy wasn't prepared to take the job any further and has sent it back. He has not been into the guts of this machine before. My question is if it is the rotary coupling how big a job would it be for the main dealer to strip and repair?? Assuming it's needing resealed. 2 weeks work was mentioned by the guy today and that it's not viable to fix, obviously not what I wanted to hear as we have not had it that long and can't really afford to loose a packet selling on a dud machine! Any advice, ideas and experience appreciated!

rotary coupling not to bad bit tight to get out but not a two week job more like day and half depending on your spanner capabilities but take the whole thing out and do it on the bench ,you might find that the surface that the seals sit on will be scoured up and will need metal spraying and machining back to spec or just replace it . The oil is not coming from above the coupling is it? It is odd for all directions on both tracks to stop working though what happens when you select a travel direction does the engine die down under load or nothing at all ?

I'm not sure where the oil is coming from, it could be further up? It does appear that one track is slower than the other, they will move the machine forward and back on the flat but just really sluggish. Think I had better get it into the main dealer if it's a job they will be used to doing. Thanks

You may have a problem with the brakes in the track motor or oil feed through the rotary coupling ,i guess you need to to put some gauges on your machine and see whats doing what
