rolled on drivers side. After upright will not start. Read to relieve pressure in fuel injectors. Short starter crank with good battery. Anyone know of this & can tell me how to safely relieve injector pressure? Thanks Lance
Typically the problem is engine oil in the combustion chamber not the fuel in the injector. You likely read about pulling the injectors from the block to relieve the oil. Perhaps you can turn the engine over by hand with a wrench. Pausing as the piston forces the oil past the piston rings back to the pan.
Does this mean that the starter will crank for a very short time and stop dead? DON'T DO THAT. Turn the engine over by hand. Get the tool from Deere, or pull the starter and use a pry bar to gently turn the engine flywheel, and hold the pressure when it stops dead. It should very slowly turn past the hard spot. Keep turning it until it goes around twice with no hard spots and don't be surprised if it smokes when you start it up. Check the oil level before starting, and frequently until you trust it.
Thanks for the info. Will try Monday. Thanks again! Lance
